My name is Jerome Water Eagle. I am a North American Indian from the Pueblo of Picuris. I am a 23 year old artist with a family of two, who works in many different media. I'm a self taught artist who has been painting for about 4 years. I have never attended an art school nor had any art instruction of any kind. I believe that art can't be taught; it has to come from within. Sure it can be taught at school, or taught by any cookie cutter art instructor. Art won't be the same as if you were to do it without any instruction or guidance to let it come from deep within your dreams and thoughts, which you bring into reality from the creator's perspective. This is what you call art. To reflect one's rich culture and spiritual connection with the Creator and with our Mother the Earth. This is what art is all about. This is what my ancestors have been doing since the beginning of time. I specialize in a unique style which reflects times of great spirituality and great loss of rituals and ceremonies, which pass any living memory into the time of legend, way before the time of Christ. A time of respect, relative peace and harmony with one's surroundings. With this we are all children of one God, brothers and sisters under one sky, living upon one Mother. So, may the Great Spirit guide and take care of each other and every one of you. Tah-ah, chen-ah-ho.
